Be Prepared
Do a Good Turn Daily
The mission of the Boy Scouts of America is to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law. Although scouting offers a variety of occasions for adventures and group activities, it is more than just fun and games. It's a family centered program that builds character and good citizenship by providing opportunities for boys to expand their knowledge and build their confidence by learning new skills and trying new things in a supervised environment.

Troop 119 is a boy-led troop, meaning the boys make the majority of the decisions regarding their meeting agendas and activities. Our troop is for boys living in Sevier County who are 11 through 17 years of age, or have earned the Cub Scouting Arrow of Light award and are at least 10 years old, or have completed the fifth grade and are at least 10 years old. We do our very best to allow the boys to earn money necessary for their chosen activities, so costs to participate are extremely low. There is a $15 National BSA registration fee along with an optional $12 purchase of Boys' Life magazine which is delivered to your home each month. In addition, the boys have decided to collect $1 dues per week to go into their activity fund. Boy Scouts is truly one activity every boy can enjoy!
